Last time, we soared for the fun of it; this time, we are here to win. It is creative mayhem with real engineering: push, leap, glide, and cheer. With massive online reach, it is showtime. The Build
Design, Craft, Paint, Fly
Design & Engineering: With an engineer designing our craft based on our weight and materials we are building a fair weapon. Fast, light and crafty on the launch.
Travel: The bird has been boxed and shipped.
Media: behind-the-scenes, teasers, and sponsor spotlights from day one with a follow up handover of our pledges.
The Flight Pledge
We are running a social responsibility program on our flight schedule. We would like to generate some fanfare after the event to give back to our sponsors and the communities in which we live and find support. Through our flight pledge program we are sitting on R1000 per metre (28/10). This value has been pledged by our supporters. We will fly our bird off the Jetty and use our scored distance as the Metric distance we will use to calculate our pledge value.

Derek
DEE's. A man of many talents and a drive to get it done. If it's got a danger element, he'll probably do it again, and again. Welcome aboard.
Shaun
This is Shaun. Jof to the pals. A family man for sure, but give him a wrench and he is a magician. Race bikes, busted engines, broken dreams, he fixes them all. He can fix anything except that right left foot.
Tim
This is Tim. Mothy to some, Teem to others. Chef by trade. Entrepreneur by nature. Loves a deal. Lives by his calendar. Hates to lose. The star bachelor in the crew, strutting in with peacock energy, feathers shining and confidence cranked to eleven. Precise, ruthless, meticulous.
Edward
This is Edward. Our resident genius. One bright son of a Flamingo. The rookie brave enough to strap in and pilot this glorious bird. Smart, sharp, and maybe just crazy enough to say yes. Welcome aboard Ed. We are looking forward to launching you into the halls of Flugtag fame.
Cuan
And this is Cuan. Not the pilot. Not the engineer. The instigator. He convinces everyone else to climb on board. The spark that lights the fuse. The laugh you will hear as it all goes forward or sideways.
